Emergency and Telephone Advice

Medical Advice by Telephone

The doctors and nurses are happy to consult on the telephone and give advice on minor ailments which may save you a visit to the surgery.  Ring the surgery during normal surgery hours. If the doctor is not available they will ring you back as soon as they are free.

Emergency Cases

For urgent medical problems phone the surgery telephone number and choose Option 1 for Emergencies when prompted. The receptionist will contact the duty doctor. 

Outside surgery hours you will speak to the staff at the Worcestershire Out of Hours Centre, who will put you in touch with the duty doctor for your area. 

Common medical problems can often be dealt with by advice given over the telephone. If you need to be seen when the surgery is closed you will be asked to attend a local medical centre unless the doctor feels you are too ill to leave the house.

New Road Surgery opens at 8.30 am.  Please do not phone before then unless you need a doctor urgently.
